Nostradamus End of World Prediction

by congregatio on 2017-09-22 17:49:50

On other sites I have read that Nostradamus predicted the end of the world in the year 2000. Clearly that didn't happen but why did so many people believe it was going to happen in the year 2k?

end of world, prediction

In the case if Nostradamus, most of the hysteria around the year 2000 being the end of the world, was whipped up by numerous authors who released books in prolific numbers in the run up to the Millennium, and latched on to C10v72, which has 'the king of terror arriving from the sky in 1999, who were aided by the ever hungry news media, it was almost constantly in the headlines. But history has a habit of repeating itself, around 1BC-AD the same sort nonsense occurred, especially with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. And same sort of hysterical nonsense accompanied the run up to the 1st Millennium, 1000AD. But in reality Nostradamus does not mention a specific time or year, not in any verse or letter. LN.
