Review by Lux Nova on 2017-06-25
The first thing to note is how misinformed the writer's introduction is.
The writer also calls Nostradamus a Seer; has he not read Nostradamus's 1st Epistle (letter of introduction),
Even now my son, some have inferred the name Prophet upon me; I do not impute to myself so high and sublime title, at the present time. Insomuch my son, as, "he who is called a prophet now was once called a seer" for a prophet most properly my son, is one that sees things far beyond the natural perception of all creatures.
And here we have a revelation, not one of the previous authors I have ever come across have realised or mentioned the fact that the words in "" written in Latin by Nostradamus, is a direct quote from 1 Samuel 9-9. (Formerly in Israel, if a man went to inquire of God, he would say, "Come, let us go to the seer," because the prophet of today used to be called a seer.)
Now let us turn our attention to the words proceeding and the verse he quotes.
Firstly, he writes. 'these passages from Nostradamus are proof that he predicted a trump victory in 2016, apparently.' Thus, he distances himself from what he is presenting to us as PROOF? [What does he mean, is he not sure, if so why bother?]
And in the last line before giving the verse, he casts even more doubt by distancing himself even further writing, 'Some believe Century 3 quatrain (verse) 81 refers to the 2016 presidential election.
Then firstly he quotes the French version of the verse. Oh dear, he can't even copy correctly, in the 4th line he has 'pur' = whole; perfect, pure etc. should have been 'peur'= fear etc.
He then gives us somebody else's translation, apparently, History.com which matches word for word that of Charles A. Ward. And that being in the public domain, let me quote.
The great shameless, audacious bawler,
He will be elected governor of the army:
The boldness of his contention,
The bridge broken, the city faint from fear.
Then writer ends with a final comment.
'OK. That sounds about right. Especially given that in addition to being president after 2oth January 2017, Trump will also be commander-in-chief.
But that's not alright, this verse has nothing at all to do with Trump or even America. Nostradamus only makes reference to the USA. On 2 occasions, he has no concern for the future of America. Not even in the verses other authors have said are related to WW2, make any reference to America.
Every verse has a twin, while I'm not going to go too far into it here, it is quite clear that once the defence on the bridge is broken, the attackers will plunder the city and slaughter the inhabitants. [in the writer's post, he quotes another verse, I will deal with that next.]
[all translations unless otherwise stated, are my own and subject to copy right. Biblical quote from the NIV, Scofield Study Bible 1984 edition.]
