About Astraeus

The astrological god of dusk, he is said to have married Eos (dawn) and thus their union gave rise to all that occurred between nightfall and daybreak. They had many offspring, including five wandering planets, Phainon (Saturn,) Phaethon (Jupiter,) Pyroeis (Mars,) Eosphoros (Venus,) and Stilbon (mercury.) four Anemoi (winds,) Boreas, Notos, Eurus, and Zephyrus (west wind), and Astrea (the constellation of Virgo).
