About Eurystheus

He was the son of Sthenelus one of the brothers of Electryon, and Nicippe, thus, he was grandson of Perseus and Andromeda. He was born two months prematurely by the scheming Hera, so that he would inherit the thrown. He was married to Antimache the daughter of the Arcadian Amphidamus; and they had six children, Admete, Alexander, Imphimedon, Eurybius. Mentor, and Perimedes. He was an opponent of Heracles, and was responsible for setting Heracles his labours.
