About Laophonte

Was the daughter of Pleuron and Xanthippe, she had two sisters, Sterope, and Stratonice, and a brother called Agenor. One source says she is the mother of Iphiclus, by Thestius, another, states she is the mother of Leda and, or Althaea by Thestius. But there is great confusion on the subject of Thestius, both in parentage and who her fathered by who, see Thestius.
