About Mecisteus

Was one of the sons of Talaus and Lysimache, his brothers included, Adrastus, Pronax, Aristomachus. He reportedly took part in the battle called, 'Seven against Thebes,' he is also recorded as winning all the boxing matches in the funeral games held in honour of Oedipus at Thebes.
