About Eumolpos

He was the son of Poseidon and Chione, Eumolpus married one of Benthesikyme and Enalos's daughters, by whom he fathered, Imarus, or immaradaus, and was a legendary Thracian king, who founded the city of Eumolpias, or Eumolpiada (now called Plovdiv in Bulgaria) it was known as Philipopolis for a long time after Philip 2nd of Macedonia conquered it in the 4th century BC.
