About Hesperos

Was said to be the son of Eos, and Cephalus, and half- brother to Phosphorus, son of Eos and Astreaus, or he may be a true a true brother, as Cephalus is also cited. Also, Atlas, is by another named as father, but that seems, too far- fetched, as it was Atlas's job to hold and keep the heavens above atmosphere and earth. He was neither a sun god, or part of the heavens, he is more comparable to the Egyptian goddess Atmosphere, daughter of Shu and Tefnut, or the cow goddess Nut who was ordered to place her arms and legs upon the earth and hold the heavens above the earth. See the SV. Myths of the Egyptian the act of creation. Anyway, Hesperus or Heosphoros is in fact the Greek name for the Evening star, the planet Venus. Venus can be seen in the western sky, for around one hour after sunset, and is the brightest object in the sky other than the moon. Nostradamus uses the Latin, Hesperia= Italy, and Spain, and Hesperius=western, variously as, Hesperie-s, 2v65, 5v4/ 4v39 and 4v5. As Hesperique-s, 1v28, 1v94/4v99, 6v56, 1v81. As D'esperie 4v36. Hesperos is often confused with his twin brother Eosphoros [bearer of dawn] or Phosphoros [bearer of light, even with Lucifer, which is the name usually given to him in Latin, but they are all names of the morning star, of Venus.
