About Nephele

A cloud and rain nymph, who along with Callirrhoe and Io, were reported as being consorts of Nilus. And the latter two, were both personifications of the moon. In the story of Phrixus, she appears as the consort of Athamas, and Ixion, and is the mother of Phrixus and Helle. See book.
