About Arion

Arion [lofty native] was an immortal black stallion, which was sired either by Poseidon (Neptune by some, but they are the same god) and Demeter, or simply sprang from the earth, Gaia, or by Zephyrus (the north wind and a harpy) the horse had wings and possessed the power of speech. Arion was given to Adrastus by Heracles.
