About Thestius

Several parents are named in conjunction with Thestius's birth, either, through Ares the god of war and Demonice, or Pisidice, or from Agenor, son of Pleuron and Epicasta- epicaste? It appears that Demonice and Pisidice may be the same woman, but that only narrows the parentage down, it does not solve the problem. Now it is said that Leucippe was the mother of Iphicles-us, and Althaea, through Thestius. But it is reported that it might been Deidameia daughter of Perieres, but I find no reason to believe it. Eurythemis is also mentioned as his wife, she was the daughter of Cleoboea, it is reported that through Eurythemis, Thestius fathered, Althaea, Eurpylus, Evippus, Hypermnestra, Leda and Plexippus. Other sons, listed as being offspring of Thestius were cometes and Prothus, Aphares, and Calydon?
