About Clotho

The first of the three white Fates, usually depicted holding a spindle from which she draws out and spins together the strands of life and destiny. (see also, Lachesis, and Atropos.) There is also some confusion as to who the mother and father of the Fates were, was it, Chronos and Ananke, Erebus and Nyx, Zeus and Themis, or Uranus and Gaia? The true answer may be all, or none, for in truth we are not talking of people or gods but theories of conception, the laws of Nature set in motion by God, brought the universe into being, and the laws of nature and physics are always in control, but that is part of a debate, to far reaching to be dealt with here.
