About Stheno

She was one of three Gorgons, she and her sister Euryale [wide, roaming] were said to be immortal, but their sister Medusa was mortal. All three names are titles of the Moon; those of the religion called Orphism, which was without doubt connected to the serpent of creation, and thus snakes, called the face of the Moon, Gorgon.
