About Phorbas

Was the son of Laphites and Orsinome, and was a prince of Thessalian Phlegyes, who left the Peloponnes and settled in Elis. He had a brother named Periphas. In the war with Pelops, he helped the King of Elis, Alector, and apparently became co-ruler. He married Hyrmine, Alector's apparent sister, and presumably later gave his own daughter Diogeneia to Alector for a wife. His sons were Augeas, Actor and Tiphys.
