Variations in rendered French

Authors works consulted for variations in French: (a) John Hogue. (b) Henry C. Roberts. (c) Mario Reading. (page, 560.) (d) Edgar Leoni. French rendered the same except. (a) has 'rauy' (d) has, 'ravi.' (a)(b) have 'ieune.' (b) has, 'aux berg' (d) has 'auberg.'

Meanings of the French words deemed appropriate

Ravy=Ravi= ravished, suddenly or forcibly carried away. Milve, bastardised to rhyme with Negri-silve, (the Black forest), should read Milan, =a kite, or Latin, Milvus migrans, the black kite. Aulberge=auberge, a lodging house, or dwelling place; also, an inn. Further insights.

This verse requires careful thought, certainly a young man of Milan, will come to power, and will drain certain areas of money and men to form an army.

Thus, we might translate

That which will be ravished by young Milve?
Through the Normans of France and Picardy:
The black ones from the temple in the Black-forest,
Will make an inn and fire of Lombardy.
