France Aneobarbe The BLOND ONE The MACEDONIAN

Nostradamus Quotes: Century 2 Verse 67

La blonde au nez fourc viendra commettre,
Par le duelle et chassera dehors:
Les exilez dedans fera remettre,
Aux lieux marins commettant les plus forts.

Variations in rendered French

Authors works consulted for variations in French: (a) John Hogue. (b) Henry C. Roberts. (c) Mario Reading. (page, 130.) (d) Edgar Leoni. (e) Jean-Charles de Fontbrune (page, 135.) French rendered the same except. (a)(b)(c)(e) have, 'forche.' (d) has, 'blond,' 'fourche,' and 'duel.' (a)(c)(e) have, 'exiles.' (a) has, 'fors.' (e) has, 'blonds.'

Meanings of the French words deemed appropriate

La blonde= the Blond one. Nez fourc= the forked nosed one. Nez=nose. Commettre= To commit, refer, give over, assign, or charge, a business to; also, to appoint, delegate, charge a business to; also, to do, commit, or perpetuate an offence. Duelle. Bastardisation of duel= A duel, formally a prearranged combat with deadly weapons between to people, to settle an argument. Dehors= Without, abroad, out of, on the outside of. Remettre= To renew, repair, revive, restore, set up again; also, to remit, forgive, pardon, acquit, release. Commettant= Will commit, assign, charge with, appoint, delegate, unto.

The blond one is named Ferdinand in 9v35. And in 5v45, And the bronze-bearded one (Aenobarbe) With the hawk (Milve) nose will reign. Apparently, the Duke of wellington was known affectionately by his men as 'old hooky nose'.

Thus, we might translate

The fair-blond one and forked nosed one will come to perpetuate an offence?
Through a duel, and will chase him out,
He will restore the exiles within,
And place the strongest of them on the coasts.

Or perhaps:

The blond one will come to commit an offence against the fork nosed one,
through a duel, and then chased out:
the exiles within he will restore,
sending the strongest to the marine places (ports).
