Nostradamus Book 10: Italy Part 3

[ Home ] [ Biography ] [ Books ] [ Centuries ] [ Presages ] [ Locations ] [ Wars ] [ Myths ] [ Dictionary ] [ Quotes ] [ Authors ] [ References ]

The verses herein directly relate to Italy. Characters who are also connected to Italy are treated separately: see also France, Spain, Cock, Lion and the Eagle, Barbarian, Celts. Additional verses will be added from time to time, and commentary as fitting based on the feedback received to Nostradamus on Italy.

In this 3 part volume (view Italy">volume 1 or Italy">volume 2), we will look into verses that enlighten us on both aspects of Italy's future.

Yellow Text indicates a link to a supporting book, century or verse from Nostradamus

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 84

Between Campania, Siena, Florence and Tuscany,
6 months 9days without a drop of rain;
A foreign language head in Dalmatia,
It will quickly, devastate the entire land.

At a time when a severe drought will hit several areas of Italy, a foreign army will devastate Dalmatia.

Nostradamus Century , Verse

The successor to the duchy will come,
very far beyond the sea of Tuscany:
the French (Gaulois) branch will hold Florence,
within its heart the agreement with the seafaring Frog?

Line 4 is odd, 'giron' certainly signifies, lap, bosom, thus chest, heart? Rane, certainly means frog, unless the word has been bastardized to rhyme with Toscane? In which case, it may be Rameau,= branch, bough, etc. certainly there is a verse that mentions something to do with the sea, ship and warnings or a sign from the branch, 'Rameau'?

Nostradamus Century 1, Verse 83

The foreign people will divide the spoils of war,
Saturn in War, furious in appearance,
Terrifying and harsh to the Tuscans and Latins,
And Greeks who he will strike for being far too cautious-curious.

Tuscany, includes cities like, Siena, Florence, Pisa, Lucca. Whether the Latins refers to Rome and the Papal states below Tuscany or Latins-Italians in general is not clear.

Curieux=curious; doubtful, too cautious: however, curiosity killed the cat, we say?

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 6

There will appear towards the North,
Not far from Cancer (June-July) a comet seen,
Susa, Siena, Boeotia, Eretria,
The great one of Rome will die, the dark times gone.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 21

Through the passing of a Latin monarch,
by those whom he had secured in his realm,
The fire lit, to divide the spoils,
Public execution incurred for their daring.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 21 is a difficult verse.

When on some occasions, I may say, a verse is difficult, or requires great thought, I by no means, mean I cannot read what is written. It is the intent, manifested by the choice of words, Nostra chooses to use, that require deeper consideration.

For example, if we ignore what John Hogue, considers the verse to be about, which is nonsense and consider his translation of the verse. We might think that those who had been supported by the monarch, were turned on, upon his death, and then put to death, because of the favour he showed them, and their possessions seized and divided amongst others.

Mario Reading, gives a baffling translation, but seems to agree with the idea that those who gained during said monarchs reign, were the subject to retaliation thereafter. Although whereas JH, links it to Mussolini, MR, links it to Napoleon.

But let us consider Nostra choice of words more carefully. In line Nostra starts with,

'par le trespas'.

Now I cannot remember any other verse where Nostra uses this word, although at first glance it is not obviously wrong, for 'trespas' signifies, a death, dying, or decease; a departure out of this world; it also signifies, a passage toll, like the toll charges we increasingly have to pay to Cross certain bridge, and roads. Its historic birth lies in the coins placed in the mouths of the deceased to pay the ferryman, who took the dead across the waters of the abyss.

My good friend Cotgrave, has some wonderful insights into this understanding.

'Il pisse pour les trespassez.'

An Equivocation; for it my either signify, the dead (upon whose graves the papists use to sprinkle holy water) or have relation to 'traicts passez', the draughts of drink already consumed immediately prior to death.

In the first instance, it is as good to say, when you are dead they will piss on your grave-slander your memory, we like to say we will dance on their grave. In the 2nd, the dead have a tendency, their body being without control, empty itself. Also,

'toute cela est frappe a` la porte d'un trespasse.'

All that's but a waste of time, or labour lost, or more obviously, pissing in the wind, or on your own doorstep.

Thus, I get the feeling that those who had prospered by this king's reign will in fact be the cause of his demise. That it will be them that light the fire, and divide the booty, and those that dare to oppose them will be executed in public. Time or other verses will set the record straight.

Nostradamus Century 3, Verse 86

The chief of Ausonia {Italy general, or southern Italy] will journey towards Spain, by sea,
He will take a rest, or make an arrest in Marseille,
Before his death, he will languish a long time,
After his death one will see a very great Miracle.

Arrest. Is foremost, an arrest, sentence, decree, order, judgement; seizure; also, a rest for weapons, or generally, any rest, stop, stay or hanging around for a thing.

Why we might ponder would this leader delay a mission; what is it or who is it, that is causing this leader to hang around in Marseille? There are several verses which refer to tyrants or maybe it is just one, hanging around, or being found dead in others bedroom-s. historically many tyrants have been by sexual or gay. Alexander was, even Caesar was rumoured to be, Hadrian of the great wall was; several other Roman Caesars seemed to shag anything that moved. Of course, such things are merely speculative; but verses and time will out all. I suspect though this one will make it to Spain.

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 48

The fertile and spacious plain of Ausonia
Will produce so many gadflies and locusts,
The solar brightness will be clouded,
All devoured, a great plague will come from them.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 8

Of the churches sanctified in the original Roman fashion,
They will reject their gross foundations,
Receiving their first and human laws,
Chasing out, not all, of the cults of the saints.

First of all, let me say, the above translation is done without wit; in as such as it is done in the fashion of Giles de Ves, see my treaty on the work, how to read and speak French truly, under Giles and Mary. It pretty well conforms to the translation given by EL. & JH. Thus, is gritty, almost pigeon English.

MR. renders the French version as the previous two Authors, but his translation is so fantastically dim, it hurts the eyes. He renders line 1, as, 'Sacred temples using the first canonical hour in the Catholic style.' In line 2, he has them rejecting 'misshapen foundations.' In line 3, they are 'taking their religious and secular law.' And in line 4, they are throwing out all the cults of the saints????

Such ignorance, beggars! belief. I usually find his insane translations funny: but this is a very serious and revealing verse.

This verse concerns the time and point in our coming future, when the world is nearing the great fold in humanity's history and the 1000year peace is close to its beginning.

The people will reject the churches and their doctrines, and will destroy the buildings, removing and smashing even their foundations. Except for a few, they will banish all the cults of the saints: returning to the true and original human laws.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 8

Of the churches dedicated in the primal Roman manner,
They will reject [and mock their base principals of foundation:]
Embracing their original and human laws,
Expelling all but a few of the cults of the saints.

[Goffres?]

The great Messiah that the world pretends to desire so much, will be known to all, and will have been known for some time.

However, his arrival upon the world stage, will not bring about any immediate change in mankind: indeed, the evils will escalate. Not all helped by the fact that the Messiah will be nothing like the saviour the churches made him out to be. And that his arrival will trigger the human Satan to even greater fury, knowing his time is short.

Both figures will be human beings, neither being innocent under the laws set forth by Moses.

Considering such things one might ask how this twig, branch, smouldering in the fires of hell, will erase his sins?

Isaiah 27.

In those days, the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing Serpent, even leviathan that crooked Serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is on the sea.

[occultly, the Serpent is Draco, which twists around the centre of the Zodiac. On earth, Satan.]

On that day sing ye unto her, a vineyard of red wine. [of the bloodline.]

I the Lord will keep it; I will water it every moment: lest, any hurt it, I will keep it [safe] by night and day.

Fury is not in me; who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I will go through them; I will burn them together.

Let Him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel will blossom and bud, and fill the face of the earth with fruit.

Has he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him?

Or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

In measure, when it shoots forth, you will debate with him: he stands his ground, in the days when the rough wind blows from the East.

By this [sign] therefore shall the sins of Jacob be purged; and this is all that is required to remove his sin;

When he causes all the stones of the altars to be as chalk that is smashed into pieces, the groves and images to stand no more.

The fortified cities shall be desolate, abandoned by their residents, and left like a wilderness; there the calves feed, and there they shall rest, and consume the branches thereof.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 26

For 4years the see will be held for little good,
One sur-viendra libidineuex de vie;
Ravenna and Pisa, Verona soustiendront,
To promote the Cross of papal desire-envy, grudge- grievance.

Difficult verse, he Authors in disagreement, in translation. EL. & JH. Seem to take libidineux, as more, worldly. What are we meant to conceive by such a statement? In reality it means, lecherous, lover of luxury, immoral, a lover of all the joys and follies of flesh. Hardly the qualifications of a pope?

So, a pope who does little for good or bad is replaced by one utterly defunct of any morality. From the slow cooker to fire.

All 3 Authors render Soustiendront, as supporting? But 'soustien' signifies, the first bill which a plaintiff puts to the court. In other words, those cities are complaining about his conduct, and the damage it is doing to the Cross. [luckily for me I have the patience of 2001 saints, (the 1st Epistle).

Nostradamus Century 9, Verse 5

The 3rd toe of the foot will seem like the first,
To a new monarch from low to high;
The tyrant will occupy Pisa and Lucca,
To correct the faults of his predecessor.

A foot has 5 toes, think of them as 5 people all different, or 5 different leaders, yet the 3rd one will act exactly like the first.

Nostradamus Century 1, Verse 6

The eye of Ravenna will be destitute,
When at his feet his wings fail;
The 2 of Bresse will uphold the constitution for Turin and Vercelli, which the French (Gaulois) will trample into the mud.

Nostradamus Century 9, Verse 3

The magna vaqua (from Latin, vacc-a-ae, =cow.) at Ravenna will be in great trouble,
Led by 15 enclosed at Fornase:
At Rome, there will be born 2 double headed monsters,
Blood, fire and flood, the greatest ones in the distance.

Nostradamus Century 8, Verse 72

Oh, what an enormous defeat in the field of Perugia (Perusin),
And conflict even close to Ravenna:
Sacred passage, when they will make the feast,
Conqueror conquered horse to eat the oats.

Nostradamus Century 1, Verse 12

In short, a false fragile brute will speak,
From low to high promptly elevated;
Then in an instant disloyal and libellous,
He who will hold the Government of Verona.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 97

Roman Pontiff guard your approach,
To the city that 2 rivers pass through,
Near there, you will come to spit your blood,
Yours and those belonging to you, when the Rose will come to flourish.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 39

Issued from the true branch of the Fleur-de-lis,
Placed and lodged as heir to [H] Etruria [Italy- roughly Tuscany];
His ancient blood woven by a long hand,
He will cause the coat of Arms of Florence to flourish.

If you have read book 3 on France, you will already have come across the 3 Brothers of the Fleur-de-lis. Each comes to attain Rule in 3 different kingdoms. Here we may have the one who comes to rule, Rome or Italy. Florence was the basis of the Medici line, I will say no more.

Nostradamus Century 7, Verse 32

On the Royal mount, will be born a house dove,
Who is hollow and calculating will come to tyrannize,
In making ready an army from the Marche of Milan,
will drain Faenza and Florence of gold and men.

The royal mount, here mentioned I don't doubt is one of the 7 hills of Rome? the word I have rendered 'house dove', is Casane, bastardized from Casanier, a sluggard, one that rarely leaves his house. 'cave' is as in English, vault, hollow, cellar, empty space or void, a cave. 'compte', as, reckon, number, calculate etc. Marches in Italy are like English counties- areas.

MR. as always has the most outrageously pathetic translation of this verse: having him born in poverty, yet taking supreme power, apparently then tyrannizing and bankrupting his people, while raising a 1000year army, apparently, he will seem lucky, but cost money and lives? What the Fcuk is a 1000year army? Where does he find words like, supreme- poverty -lucky, when nothing like exists in the French original?

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 42

Mars, war, elevated to its highest belfry,
Will cause the Savoyard forces to withdraw from France, the people of Lombardy will cause great terror, to those of the Eagle, included under the Balance.

Blimey! This is a historical mess and a half to sort out.

Nostra' refers to the ALLOBROX, what we record as the Allobroges, Celtic people, generally the Savoyards, Duchy of Savoy, later kingdom of Sardinia, it generally consisted of the cities of Chambery, Turin, Nice, although other well known, cities came under and out of its jurisdiction. Lombardy, which lies beside it, and includes Milan, was Germanic-ally influenced from the 6th century AD. The history of both areas is complicated, and not necessarily of bearing, when it comes to the situations Nostra is telling us about.

At this point in time the Eagle and the Balance, would surely signify, the American Eagle and the statue of liberty, still at this point holding the Baal-lance of world power. But Nostra mentions the USA, even less than my old friend Cotgrave.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 16

Of that place that by the young kite will be ravished,
Through the Normans of France and Picardy;
The black ones of the temple from the place in the Black forest,
Will make an inn and fire of Lombardy.

They will drink and feast, rape and pillage, and set fires.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 76

The ancient city (Padua), forged by Antenor,
Being no longer able to bear the tyrant:
Through false sleeve, in the temple to cut his throat,
The people will come to put his supporters to death.

Padua, N. Italy; founded by Prince Antenor after the fall of Troy. Quite obviously, the false sleeve must have some sort of blade hidden in it.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 92

After one has held the see for 17years,
Five will hold power in turn during the next 17, then will one be elected,
Who will not conform very much to Roman beliefs.

Nostradamus Century 3, Verse 32

The great tomb of the people of Aquitaine,
To be near the approaching of Tuscany (Toscane.)
When war will be near the corner of Germany,
And in the Italy lands of Mantua.

A busy verse. It maybe that the Romans are close to the German borders? As Germany appears to one of the few countries in Europe that will repel most onslaughts in the future?

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 20

The great army will pass over the Alps,
Not long before a monstrous scoundrel will be born,
Prodigious and in a sudden he will turn,
The great Tuscan to his place more, mean.

Nostradamus Century 1, Verse 24

In the new city, apprehensive of condemnation,
The bird of prey offers itself to heaven:
After victory the captives pardoned,
Cremona and Mantua great evil will have suffered.

Cremona and Mantua are both part of Italian Lombardy.

Nostradamus Century 3, Verse 43

People from around Tarn, Lot and Garonne,
Be wary of crossing the Apennine mountains:
Your tomb close to Rome and Ancona,
The black frizzled bearded one will set up a monument of his victory.

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 69

The exiles will hold the great city,
The citizens, dead, murdered or chased out;
Those of Aquileia to promise those of Parma,
To show the entry via places unknown.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 36

Neither good nor evil will come by the terrestrial battle,
Nor will it reach the confines of Perugia,
Pisa to rebel, Florence to see an evil being,
King by night wounded upon a mule with the black cover.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 39

The infant in the realm through the capture of his father will be robbed to ransom him,
Near Lake Trasimeno the Azur (blue) one captured,
The hostage troop to get very drunk.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 67

When the chief of Perugia (Perouse) will not dare his Tunic,
Sense under cover to strip himself nude is robbed (despoiled)
7 will be captured in Aristocratic deed,
Father and son dead through point in the collar.

Nostradamus Century 8, Verse 47

Via lake Trasimeno carried by tresmoignage, [three-3?]
The conspirators in the tower within Perugia,
One (despolle) polluting, imitating the sage,
Tuant tedesq esterne and mineuse.

Century 8, Verse 47 is a very tricky verse, EL. JH. MR. all find German and killing in line 4, EL. 'killing routs and cuts to pieces German? JH. Killing German killed and cut to pieces? MR. killing the German through the breast bone and face???

But 'mineuse' signifies, outward-ly (as in appearance) seeming; belonging to, or consisting in, the countenance, or gesture of the face; also, mining as undermining etc.

Nostra has sterne, from esterni, signifies, spread, displayed, thrown abroad, he is having a laugh with sage, you'd know what he means if you had seen the Sage. There is no way I can find that you can take 'tedesq' as relating to a German, as the Authors have done: Teuton? I think Nostra is having a private joke with the sage, 'taunt and tedious'. What do I know.

Nostradamus Century 7, Verse 35

The wine upon the table will be spilled,
The 3rd one not having that which she claims,
Twice descended from the Black One of Parma,
Perugia will do to Pisa that which she thought- hoped.

Odd point here, in line 2 we have 'celle' the femine of celuy, he; yet EL, and JH. Render, he or it?

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 48

The sanctity too false and seductive,
Accompanied with an eloquent tongue,
The old city, and Parma to hasty,
Florence and Siena caused to be more deserted.

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 78

The great army of the civil war,
in the night, at Parma the foreign ones discovered;
79 murdered within the city,
The foreigners gone all by the sword.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 15

Shortly before the monarch is butchered,
Castor and Pollux in the ship, bearded Star;
Public treasure emptied by land and sea,
Pisa, Asti, Ferrara, Turin land prohibited.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 43

During the appearance of a bearded Star,
The 3 great Princes will be made enemies:
Struck from the heavens, peace on earth trembling,
Po (pau) Tiber overflowing, Serpent put on the shore.

Nostradamus Century 3, Verse 68

The leaderless people of Spain and Italy,
Death, through recklessness within the Chersonese:
Their dictator betrayed through foolish folly,
To swim in blood throughout the traverse.

The Thracian Chersonese, now 'Gelibolu Yarimadast,' thus between Hellespont and the Black Sea. Caught in the crossfire from the Turks.

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 66

Under the false colour of 7 Shaven Heads,
They will send out diverse spies,
Wells and fountains will be sprinkled with poisons,
At the fort of Genoa devourers of humans {cannibals].

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 81

Tears, cries and laments, howls, terror,
Of heart, inhuman, cruel, black, appalling,
Geneva, the isles of Genoa the mayors or people of note,
Their blood to pour, wheat famine to none mercy.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 63

From a vain enterprise of honour and undue compliant,
Boats tossed about the Latins, cold, hunger, waves,
Not far from the Tiber the land stained with blood,
And upon humans there will be diverse plagues. [seek c 6 v 41, in others books at this time.]

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 28

His arm hung and leg bound,
Face pale, dagger hid in his bosom,
3 will be sworn to the fray,
At the great one of Genoa will the iron be unleased.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 64

Those assembled by the tranquillity of the Great Number,
By land and sea counsel countermanded,
close to Autumn, Genoa and Nice in the shadows.
Through fields and villages, the chief forbidden.

JH & EL, have 'antonne', certainly there is no such place near Genoa or Nice that it might refer to. I find CH, has copied 'Automne' from the 3 originals he had access to: Cotgrave- Automne: m. Autumn, or, harvest time. Sorry I didn't spot that one, cheers

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 88

Upon the sand-gravel, through a dreadful flood,
A marine monster from other seas found:
Near the place will be made a refuge,
Holding Savona slave of Turin.

One presumes the monster is dead? But, how could anything no matter how alien to them, cause slavery? More input needed.

Nostradamus Century 1, Verse 71

The marine tower taken and retaken 3 times,
By Spaniards, Barbarians and Ligurians:
Marseille, Aix and Arles by those of Pisa,
Devastation, fire and sword at Avignon pillaged by those of Turin.

Nostradamus Century 9, Verse 39

In Albisola Superiore, those of Verone and Carcare,
Led by night to seize Savona:
The quick Gascon turby (turbaned?) and the Scerry (from, sieur= sawyer?)
Behind the wall old and new palace to seize.

Scerry has been bastardised to rhyme with Carcari. ecdV

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 60

Of the 7 children left as hostages,
The 3rd will come to slaughter his child,
2 by his sons will be pierced by a point,
In Genoa, Florence, he will come to encounter them.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 42

To Logmyon will be left the realm,
Of the great Selin, who in fact will do more,
Throughout Italy he will extend his banner,
He will be ruled by a deformed prudent, or, false one.

Logmyon-Logmion, is Ogmois, a Celtic equivalent of the Roman Hercules, or Greek, Herakles. This character is mentioned on many occasions by Nostra.

The great Selin is one of Venus, of the endless female goddesses, and the Roman Selene.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 79

Near the Ticino River the inhabitants of Loire, Garonne, Soane, the Siene, Tain and Gironde:
Beyond the mountains, they will make a promontory,
Conflict given, the Po treacherous, submerged by the water.

see above verse in France for greater explanation.

Nostradamus Century 8, Verse 7

Vercelli, Milan will provide information,
Within Pavia the wound will be made:
Carried by the Seine water, blood, fire in Florence,
Unique one holds back of high and low making maye.

Vercelli: on the river Sesia, in the plain of the river Po, between Milan and Turin.

Parvia: referred to by Nostra by its Latin name 'Ticin-um' it is south of Milan, on the lower Ticino river near where it joins the Po.

Maye: a kneading trough, hutch, bin; or heap or sheaves of hay. Thus, perhaps pilling up bodies, of all ranks.

EL.JH. MR. all render the last sentence, as the unique one himself falling from high to low and crying for help?

It should be,

'unique choyer d'haut en bas faisant maye.'

Choir = cheor = choyer: to spare, forbear, save, not to use; to refrain, abstain, withhold himself from; to preserve, cherish, have great care of. Be like a great general, who forbears an initial attack to draw in his enemy; sucks them in then hits them from all sides.

Nostradamus Century 8, Verse 12

He will appear near Buffalora,
The high and tall one to enter Milan,
The Abbot of Foix with those of saint Morre,
They will spread deceit, dressed commoners.

Buffalora is a village about 6 km, from Brescia (of Lombardy) and considered part of it. [funny how history seems to mimic itself. In 1512 during the war of the league of Cambrai, Brescia rebelled against the French. Gaston de Foix, who had recently arrived to command the French armies of Italy, attacked and ravished it when it refused to surrender.

Saint Morre, maybe the Barbarian St mentioned in c 10 v 36. More= a Moor, blackamore, an Arab.

Nostradamus Century 7, Verse 4

The Duke of Langres besieged within Dole,
Accompanied by those of Autun and Lyon:
Geneva (Swiss), Augsburg (German), with those of Mirandola,
To pass over the mountains against those of Ancona.

It is difficult to see why any force from Mirandola would have to Cross the Appennine Mountains, to reach Ancona? Unless those from Ancona, are not in Ancona, at that time?

Nostradamus Century 1, Verse 75

The tyrant of Sienne will occupy Savona (Italy):
The fort gained he will hold the marine fleet:
The 2 armies for the march (standard-marque)of Ancona,
Through terror the chief s'en examine.

Nostradamus Century 10, Verse 92

Before the father the child will be killed,
The father afterwards between ropes of rushes,
The people of Geneva (Geneuois) will endeavour,
The chief lying in the middle like a tree trunk.

Nostradamus Century 8, Verse 11

An infinite number of people will arrear at Vicenza,
Without force to set fire and burn the Basilica:
Close to Lun-age, the great one of Valenza defeated,
When then Venice through a death will take up the quarrel, (or pikes).

Vicenza has 3 Basilica's, most impressive is the Basilica Palladiana, (palla-ce, of Diana?) which has a very tall clock tower, and is probably the most likely candidate. There is also, the Basilica of the Sanctuary of Mary, of Monte Berico: and Basilica of Santi Felice and Fortunato. (apparently named after two martyrs; who were not so lucky as their names, Happiness and Fortunate might suggest.)

Valenza is on the opposite side, NE Italy, not that the great one of Valenza was necessarily defeated there? Lunage, either implies that these events took place before the rise of the Lunar ones, or near the end of the Lunar age. [those of the house of Venus.]

Nostradamus Century 8, Verse 33

The great Master of Verona and Vicenza,
Who will bear, an unworthy surname,
Who in Venice will want to take vengeance,
He himself captured by a man of the watch and sign.

Nostradamus Century 10, Verse 87

A great king will come to take port near Nice,
Thus, the death of a great Empire will be completed:
In Antibes, he will place his Whore,
The plunder by sea to vanish.

Seas cleared of pirates etc. Antibes, just up the coast from Marseilles.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 31

In Campania, Capua, (Volturno river) will overflow so much that only fields covered in water to be seen: before and after it will rain a long time,
One will see nothing green except trees.

Nostradamus Century 3, Verse 21

At-in, Crustamin (Conca river?) by the Adriatic Sea,
There will appear a terrifying fish,
With a human face the rest aquatic,
It will be taken without a hook.

Crustuminus, a Sabine town of Italy?

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 3

Because of the heat of the Sun on the sea of Euboea,
the fishes, half cooked:
The inhabitants will come to eat them,
When Rhodes and Genoa fail to deliver provisions to them.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 49

The councillors of the first monopoly,
The conquerors seduced to Malta:
Rhodes and Byzantium exposing their pole for them,
On land will fail, the pursuers fleeing.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 6

The Augur putting his hand upon the king's head,
Will come to pray for peace in Italy:
To his left hand he will transfer the Sceptre,
From a king, he will become an Emperor of peace.

Nostradamus Presage 2

The Tyrrhenian Sea, the Ocean through the guard,
Of the great Neptune and his trident soldiers:
Provence secured through the power of the great Tende;
More war at Narbonne by the heroic de Vilars.

Presage 2 and verse 59 of chapter 2, are almost identical, indeed so much so, that it beggars belief that no previous authors have mentioned it?

The verse and the Presage are about the same events.

Nostradamus Century 8, Verse 9

Depending on the Eagle and the Cock at Savona,
They will be united with those of the Eastern Sea and Hungary,/a>,
The army at Naples, Palermo and the March of Ancona,
At
Rome and Venice, though the Barbarians terrible cries.
