Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 63

The Celtic army against the mountaineers,
Whom being able to communicate by bird calls will catch them out?
The peasants make a fresh thrust soon faugnars?[bloodied- blood stained?]
All, cast down upon the edge of the sword.

A few points. Line 2, was difficult to phrase right, I can see what's occurring in my mind's eye. The mountaineers know the terrain inside out, and are watching the Celts as they ascend. By what sounds as much like whistling to me they are communicating amongst themselves, and thus able to pick off the enemy.

Line 3. EL. JH. MR, link Faugnars to presses-wine? But I notice in the original in line one that Nostra has bastardized 'montagnards' to 'montagnars', thus faugnars in line 3. Thus, I suspect Nostra has bastardised the word from Latin 'sanguine-us-a-um.' Bloody, blood stained.

The funniest thing about this verse is that Mario Reading, thinks it is about the Vietnam War. See page 690 of his book.

Nostra does not mention such wars, it's debatable whether any of the verses are even about America?

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 10

The Celtic chief wounded in the battle,
Seeing his men being killed near the cave;
Beset by blood and wounds and enemies,
Rescued by 4 unknown ones.

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 71

The exiles in Sicily will come,
To deliver from famine the foreign people,
At the break of day, the Celts will fail them,
Life continues by reason: the king to remain.

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 99

The older valiant son of the king's, (Roi), daughter,
Will repel the Celts very far;
Such that he will cast thunderbolts, so many and in such an array,
Short and far, then deep into the west.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 4

The Celtic river will change its course,
No longer will it in include the city of Agrippina (Cologne-Germany)
all changed except the old language,
Saturn, Leo, Mars, Cancer in pillage.

Nostradamus Century 4, Verse 4

The powerless prince angry, complaints and quarrels,
Rape and pillage by Cocks and Libyans:
Great by both land and sea endless sails,
Only Italy will be chasing the Celts

Nostradamus Century , Verse

The Prince outside his Celtic territory,
Will be betrayed, deceived by the interpreter:
Rouen, la Rochelle through those of Brittany (Armorique),
At the port of Blaye deceived by a monk and a priest.

Nostradamus Century 5, Verse 1

Before advent of the Celtic ruination,
Within the temple 2 will have a debate,
Heart pierced by the one mounted on the horse with the lance,
Without making a sound they will bury the great one.

Oddly, it is JH, that baffles me most on this one. His rendering of the original French is without obvious reason. He removes 5 letters, replacing them by placing ~ over the proceeding letter? Why this verse and not every other? If you have access to a copy look for yourself.

[ dedans becomes deda~s, temple-te~ple. Mort/e- mo~t/e??? ]

There is nothing so secretive in this verse, that makes it necessary to deform the French?

His opinion on the verse is but food for mushrooms.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 99

Roman territories as interpreted by the Augur,
By the (Gaulois) French will be vexed,
The Celtic nation will fear the hour,
The fleet pushed too far by the north winds.

Nostradamus Century 6, Verse 3

In the river that will test the new Celtic heir,
Will be in great discord with the Empire;
The young Prince by the church people,
Will remove the Sceptre of Peace, crown of concord.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 69

The king of France (Gaulois) through the Celtic right,
Seeing the discord of the great Monarchy;
Will make his Sceptre flourish over the 3 parts,
Against the Cappe of the great heirachy.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 72

The Celtic army vexed in Italy,
On all sides conflict and great losses;
The Romans flee, the Gaul repulsed,
Close to Ticino and Rubicon, battle uncertain.

Nostradamus Century 1, Verse 93

Near the mountains, the land of Italy trembles,
Union of the Lion and Cock not firm;
Instead of threatening, they will aid each other,
Only Castulon and the Celts moderate.

Nostradamus Century 2, Verse 85

The old plain beard (barbe) under severe restrictions,
At Lyon placed upon the Celtic Eagle:
The little (young) great one perseveres too far,
Noise of arms in the sky, sea of Liguria red.

Nostradamus Century 3, Verse 83

The long hairs of Celtic Gaul-France,
Accompanied by the foreign nations,
They will make captive the people of Aquitaine,
For succumbing to their intentions.
